    New Build v0.3.1107

Download the latest version at https://magicbeansaudio.com/pages/download

    BIG NEW FEATURES!

    - Remeasurement - remeasure select speakers on previously saved calibrations without needing to remeasure all other speakers

    - Car Mode for those with a Pro License (experimental) - set frequency range limits for each speaker. Speaker corrections will be based on those range limits.

    FEATURES & FIXES

    - Resume when mic gets disconnected

    - Measurements continue to run when MB is in the background on desktop (PC/Mac)

    - Fixed an infrequent bug where a single filter showed incorrectly (i.e. -9 instead of 0.)

    - Support for MiniDSP HTX 48kHz Full (10 PEQ on input, 10 on output.) 10 PEQ on output (Half) is also supported.

    - Support for Roon's zipped convolution filters for 2-channel stereo only (experimental)

    - Options for separated height sets or combined height sets when using Dirac Live Bass Control. (i.e. Individual targets for front height, middle height, and rear height vs. a single target for all heights.)

    - Fixed a text scaling bug that didn't allow user to see text in fields on the login screen

    - Speaker EQ-Ability (Useful for finding FSL for Dirac ART)

    - Improved roll-off detection logic

    - WiiM PEQ export

    - JL Audio TūN export

    - Fixed issue with total measured channels not being calculated correctly

    - Fixed Sony ES export

    Dirac Live 3.13.16 // 2025-10-01

*Information within brackets is for internal tracking.

    Features

    • None

    Bug fixes

    • Fixed an issue where Dirac Live would suggest ART as an available feature on some devices that did not actually support it. Attempting a filter export would fail in those cases. (LIVE-4766)

    Known issues

    • Progress tracker can sometimes jump backwards. (LIVE-4356)
    • New filter exports are not displayed correctly in the application on some NAD devices. The filter can still be used and will be displayed correctly after reconnecting to the device. (APP-555)

    A1 Evo Acoustica v8 (29 Aug 2025)

    • Fixed channel measurement order for Cirrus Logic DSP receivers: Measurement

sweeps were playing from the wrong speakers for certain Atmos channels for all

fixedA data type receivers all this time. Interestingly, I have never been informed

about this until today. It’s now fixed!!!

    Dirac Live 3.13.13 // 2025-08-25

*Information within brackets is for internal tracking.

    Features

    • Added notification with guidance when an attempt to change the ART support frequency in one group is blocked by the support frequency setting in another group. (APP-559)
    • For MacOS the application and installer is now updated to be universal. Rosetta is no longer required for MacOS to support both Intel and ARM CPUs. (DS-1853)
    • Updated logos and splash screen graphics (LIVE-4303)

    Bug fixes

    • Fixed a remaining corner case in the default support speaker assignment for ART. (LIVE-4662)
    • Fixed an issue that in some cases prevented changes to the support frequencies in ART. (APP-565)
    • Fixed a corner case where the self-support level of a single-speaker group in ART could not be modified. (APP-545)
    • Fixed a problem where an anonymous user was blocked with a confusing message. (APP-564)
    • Fixed a situation where a project created and saved using a Limited DLRC license, and later loaded after having upgraded to a Full licence, would not automatically re-calculate the phase correction using the full bandwidth. (APP-35)
    • Other minor UI fixes and improvements.

    Known issues

    Dirac Live 3.13.9 // 2025-07-01

    Bug fixes

    • Dirac Live versions later than 3.4.4 have sometimes shown inconsistency between the predicted Bass Control (BC) response and validation measurements made using 3rd party tools, such as REW, on some devices from the Arcam AV and AVR lines. An error was located in the Bass Control filter export procedure, causing some phase correction filters to be populated by default “flat” coefficients instead of the optimized ones. This fix enables use of the full DLBC topology and shows high consistency with properly made validation measurements. We recommend Arcam users with these devices to re-export their DLBC filter using this update. *(DS-1814)
    • We have fixed the problem where ART filters could not be exported for a 2.0.0 channel configuration. *(LIVE-4612)
    • An issue has been fixed where the default support speaker assignment in ART could include speakers that had been tagged as excluded from support. *(DS-1889)
      • However, there is still a known issue (see below) with the default support assignment in ART, but it’s not related to speakers being excluded from support.
    • Fix Dirac Live app crashing when returning to volume calibration after filter export. *(DS-1877)
    • Minor UI and app issues have been addressed and fixed. *(APP-510, APP-521, APP-540)

    Features

    • ART support range is now constrained so that a speaker group cannot give support outside of its active range (the “self-support” range). If a channel group requires extended support below the supporting group’s active range, then the active range of the supporting group needs to be extended first. *(APP-221)
    • The detected range of a supporting speaker group is now highlighted in the Filter Design view when hovering over the support range slider. Right-clicking the slider will open an option to reset the support range to its default setting, which is the detected range. *(APP-496)
    • Updated packaging of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable to prevent corner case crashes. *(APP-529)
    • Updated handling for a single ART main speaker in a group to now allow editing of the support level. *(APP-545)

    Known issues

    • ART default support speaker assignment can sometimes fail. *(APP-549)
      • In one case, when running out of cross-terms, ART can leave some channel group without any support speakers assigned. When a channel group lacks supporting speakers, the user cannot proceed to Calculate the ART filter.

-> There is a workaround, by manually assigning the missing support speakers, possibly after having relieved them from supporting another channel group. When all channel groups have some support speakers assigned, it will be possible to proceed to Calculate an ART filter.
      • In another case, when there’s unlimited cross-terms, the default assignment can assign speakers that have been marked as excluded from support.

-> The workaround in this case, is to manually de-assign the speakers that should be excluded from support.
    • Processing progress tracker percentage can in some situations jump backwards. This doesn’t have any practical implications and can be ignored. *(LIVE-4356)
